Nārang, Gujrat : ウィキペディア英語版 | Narang, Gujrat
Narang Mandi is a town located in the Muridke Tehsil of Sheikhupura District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is a centre of many life facilities for nearby villages. Narang is renowned for its good quality rice, which is known throughout Pakistan. Basic life facilities like health, education are present here. But though poor infrastructure of broken roads and limited Railways service hampers town development still it is a vibrant town of Kalar area. Jutt are the major family living in this area, having many sub-casts such as Hanjra, Munj, Butter, Maan, Jathol, Saroya, Gill, Sandhu and Rajpoot. ==History== Historically Narang Mandi has been on the cross roads of ancient trade routes in Punjab leading to Delhi and other parts of Northern India. Before partition Narang Mandi was called Narang. The word Mandi was added after independence due to the establishment of a big Market (Mandi) of Rice and Rice Processing. After the creation of Pakistan in 1947, because of the cross border tension this trade stature was very much lost.
